Contraction of the visual field in the better eye

With:

  1. The widest diameter subtending an angle around the point of fixation no greater than 20 degrees
  2. OR

  3. A mean deviation of –22 or worse, determined by automated static threshold perimetry as described in 2.00A6a (v)
  4. OR

  5. A visual field efficiency of 20 percent or less as determined by kinetic perimetry (see 2.00A7b).

Loss of visual efficiency

Visual efficiency of the better eye of 20 percent or less after best correction (see 2.00A7c).

Hearing Impairments

  1. For children below 5 years of age at time of adjudication, inability to hear air conduction thresholds at an average of 40 decibels (db) hearing level or greater in the better ear
  2. OR

  3. For children 5 years of age and above at time of adjudication:
    1. Inability to hear air conduction thresholds at an average of 70 decibels (db) or greater in the better ear; or
    2. Speech discrimination scores at 40 percent or less in the better ear; or
    3. Inability to hear air conduction thresholds at an average of 40 decibels (db) or greater in the better ear, and a speech and language disorder which significantly affects the clarity and content of the speech and is attributable to the hearing impairment.
